Ordering example, step by step
1. Look through the Mineral Specimens and Fossil Specimens and determine the items you would like to add to your collection.
2. Write down the mineral or fossil name and 4 digit code found at the top of the description.
3. Go to the contact page and either call or email Pat Hendrick, notifying him of the items you want.
4. The availability of your fossil or mineral will then be confirmed, shipping options will be agreed upon, followed by a grand total and payment arrangements.
5. Once payment is received, the fossil or mineral will be marked as "Sold" on the website and shortly thereafter, moved to the archives section.
Payment methods available to our domestic customers
Credit Card through Paypal - NOTE: You do not need a Paypal account in order to pay us through Paypal. At this time we only allow credit cards to be processed by Paypal and with an additional 3% fee on every sale. You
may also pay us from your Paypal account by using an existing balance or an eCheck (shipment will be delayed until the eCheck clears). Submit payments to pat.hendrick@gmail.com. Items will ship next day (sometimes same day) after receipt of
payment.

Payment methods available to our international customers
Pat Hendrick Minerals allows for the same payment methods as outlined in the domestic orders section above, with the exception that checks must be International Bank
Drafts (ABA Number Included) and Money Orders must be
International Postal Money Orders. Please note that as an international customer, you may have to pay duty fees based on the declared value of the package.
Shipping costs explained
Pat Hendrick Minerals is committed to seeing your mineral and/or fossil arrive safely and in its original condition. All packages are packed with the utmost care and sent
via the US Postal Service's Priority Mail. Cost for shipping is based on package weight, packing materials, insurance (all packages are automatically insured for the full value)
and a small handling charge to cover time and effort invested in superb packaging and quick transport to the local post office.
Domestic orders should arrive within 2 to 3 days from shipment. International Orders going to Europe should arrive within 3 to 5 days of shipment.
Returning an item for a refund
Pat Hendrick Minerals is committed to getting your items to you in the same excellent condition they were in when they left us. However, we understand that on occasion
there is damage, or other highly unfortunate situations which cause you to return them. In these situations, returns are only allowed within 3 weeks of the ship date of your minerals - sorry, no exceptions.
Please note that a 5% restocking fee will be charged for returns related to or as a result of buyer's remorse.
If you decide to return your specimen, please use this guideline:
A. Please note that items you wish to return must be back in our possession BEFORE the 3 week return cutoff; in order to meet this requirement, you should ship the item at least 7 days before the cutoff date.
B. Each specimen must be carefully and individually wrapped in the dry cleaning plastic wrap which was originally shipped with the item. If this material is no longer available you may use bathroom tissue; please make sure
there is at least 3/4 inch of material built up all the way around the specimen.
C. In addition to this padding, please also add more dry cleaning plastic all around the inside edges of the box you are using to ship the item; an amount close to another 3/4 inches measured distance between the inside walls of the box
and the specimen (with plastic wrapped around it) should be sufficient.
D. Take all wrapped specimens and tape the plastic so that there is no chance for the specimen to come unwrapped; also tape the plastic along the edges of the inside of the box to secure its place inside.
E. Please use a different box than the mineral was originally shipped in, and preferably a new one. Boxes get beat up during transit and may get too weakened to be sufficient for a second trip.
F. Double boxing is required for specimens that are delicate. If you have to do this (if this is the way you originally received your specimen, then it is required that you do it this way or the return will be voided)
then the internal box must be wrapped with plastic wrap at least 1 inch (required by USPS/UPS) to provide padding between itself and the outer box.
G. Once your package is secure the next step is to ship it. Insure the package for the full value and have it shipped to:

After we receive your package and verify all the steps above were followed, you will be granted a refund either by a paypal credit (if you paid via paypal) or by check if you paid by any other method.
